Pretty much all work done on cars is for two reasons - looks, and to build power. Drag racers spend countless hours working on many complicated pieces, tuning this and replacing that, to gain that most sought after thing, horsepower. Pretty much every auto magazine that deals with building cars has horsepower tips. On TNN, there is about two hours every weekend dedicated to automobiles, mainly building horsepower (starts 12:30 pm Saturdays with Trucks).
Now, how can you build horsepower? The ways are plentiful. I will never be able to include every known power tip to man, or even come close. What I have here is merely the tip of the iceberg on building power. A lot of it is a no brainer, such as different parts. Some are something that maybe the average person hasn't thought of. A good way to get an idea of power building tips is to get a hold of Summit Racing catalog, which you can order free on the internet. Look in our links section for other free catalog offers.
And now, without further adieu, some power tips. Feel free to e-mail me your power tips, and come back often, as I will update regularly.
